HABIBURRAHMAN EL SHIRAZY adalah sarjana Al Azhar University Cairo. Founder dan Pengasuh Utama Pesantren Karya dan Wirausaha BASMALA INDONESIA, yang berkedudukan di Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Ia dikenal secara nasional sebagai dai, novelis,dan penyair. Beberapa penghargaan bergengsi berhasil diraih nya, antara lain, Pena Award 2005, The Most Favorite Book and Writer 2005, dan IBF Award 2006. Tak jarang ia diundang untuk berbicara di forum-forum nasional maupun internasional, baik dalam kapasitasnya sebagai dai, novelis, maupun penyair. Seperti di Cairo, Kuala lumpur, Hongkong, dan lain-lain. Karya-karyanya selalu dinanti khalayak karena dinilai membangun jiwa dan menumbuhkan semangat berprestasi. Di antara karya-karya yang telah beredar dipasar adalah Ayat Ayat Cinta(novel fenomenal yang akan dilayarlebarkan, 2004), Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra (novelet, 2004), Di Atas Sajadah Cinta(kumpulan kisah teladan yang telah disinetronkan di Trans TV, 2004) Ketika Cinta Berbuah Surga (kumpulan kisah teladan, 2005), Dalam Mihrab Cinta (novelet,2007). Karyanya yang siap dirampungkan: Langit Makkah Berwarna Merah, Bidadari Bermata Bening dan Bulan Madu di Yarusalem.
